- As all designers know, having correct and accurate information is crucial. Window and home designers must have clear, concise information concerning the choices of materials available to them, and the benefits and detractions of each of those options.
- It is with this in mind that we have gathered together a selection of materials, articules, and other publications that clearly spell out the uses and benefits of pultruded fiberglass for window and door design and construction. Below is a list of some of these articles with a brief description of each.

- Consumer's Guide to Buying Energy-Efficient Windows and Doors
Natural Resources Canada
This Government of Canada information guide is one of the most complete and informative guides for the consumer when they are selecting either new windows and doors for a home under construction, or if they are looking at replacing their existing system. It is also a good guide for the designer to have and know as it explains the Canadian Government's rating system, and how it is employed as to windows, doors, and framing and sashes.

Pultruded Fiberglass Windows
This is a monthly newsletter put out by the Cutter Information Corporation that focuses on Energy-Efficient housing. Below are a couple of quotes from one newsletter that focused on fiberglass windows.
"Blomberg Window Systems, a West Coast manufacturer of aluminum windows, has introduced a new line of pultruded fiberglass windows using lineals manufactured by Omniglass. of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Libbey Owens Ford
Under The Sun is a quarterly publication put out by Libbey Owens Ford as a source of information on their solar management glazings with special emphasis on their relation to energy issues and the environment. It is designed as a reflection of LOF's increasing awareness of current and coming changes in the glazing industry and its related industries. Below are a couple of quotes from this very informative 8 page publication.

Author Jefferson Kolle explains not only the parts that make up windows, but also what goes into good windows, and what the pros and cons are of the different window types that are available.

Natural resources Canada
Another guide for the home owner for when they are trying to decide on which type of window to purchase, be it for a new home under construction, or while renovating their existing home. This introductory guide from Natural resources Canada is written and aimed mainly at the consumer market, but is also a valuable tool and information source for the designer when planning out today's Energy Efficient and Environmentally friendly home.
